Linda has lived in rural areas most of her life and is an avid outdoors woman, inspired by the beauty of nature. The Allegheny Mountains is where she has lived most of her life and later The Gulf of Mexico as well as The Atlantic Ocean have been her sources of inspiration as well as the beautiful horse country of Ocala and Springs of Florida.
She is a self taught artist that has drawn and painted portraits, horses, sunsets and landscapes with a passion since she was a child.
For the last seven years she has been perfecting an emergence of her realistic art with abstract art.
She has been fascinated by the effect that different consistencies of pigments carried by different mediums attract or repel each other, sometimes resulting in beautiful formations. At times this art is somewhat controlled and at other times she lets the paint take her mind to places she has never gone before and at that point she adds her realistic twist. Before being sealed, a single painting could have had multiple layers of work on it. She may rub in ink or more paint and stain or add color to enhance certain areas. Linda may then add other materials such as resin and modeling paste, stone, gold leafing and shells to create the finished desired effects.
She believes she has perfected the emergence of these two art forms in a very unique way.
Her hope is that you will enjoy her art as much as she has enjoyed creating it.
